One month to go...

Well today marks the first day of the last month of Cale being an only child. I know he has know idea what is ahead of him but we are very excited. There is still so much to be done...I can't believe we are now only a month away. We are anxious to see our little Lanna and how Cale interacts with her. I am doing good just swelling throughout the day but it goes away at night. I am going to the Dr. on Friday for a short checkup. Then headed to Wichita Fall High for some Friday night Football of course. Cale is going to spend the night with Meme and Papaw...which he loves on Friday night so I do not have to fight him in a car seat for over two hours. Here are some pics I took of Cale in the last couple of days!

Swimmin' in September...

Okay so football is in full swing so that means on Sunday Jeff spends all day at the coaches office preparing for the next big game. So Cale and I decided we would go for a little swim time at a good friends' house. He loves Denise and her daughter Mattie and he calls them "Nee" and "MatMa". It's pretty darn cute. We spent a lot of time over there this summer and Cale just loves going over there. I have been meaning to get some video of him swimming since no one believes me when I tell them how good he does. He has never had lessons and what he does is just learned from going over to their house over the summer. I am pretty impressed at how quickly he picked it up. So I have to post my little man in the water.

Friday Night Football...

This is our life...Friday nights and usually Thursday nights too are consumed by high school football. My parents were able to come and watch some serious high school football last night. Cale was more than excited to have them there. I was pretty pumped too cause it had been a long day and my ankle was the same size as my calf. Just a little bit of swelling due to warm weather and standing entirely too much for one day. I got to try out my new camera last night and after some very frustrating pics I finally switched over to the video mode and captured some moments for us to keep. Jeff is no longer coaching from the press box and is now full time on the sidelines...I hate it. He is way too involved and tends to not watch what he says. I am glad our seats are far enough away I do not get to hear him, just get to watch in disbelief. I am attempting to post some of the videos and pics that were taken last night...I do not know how they will post.

New tricks and a Lanna update...

Well school is in full swing and things seem to be moving right along. I am now in my 32nd week. I went to the Dr. on Friday and had an ultrasound. The doctor and Jeff had a complete conversation about OU football while she was doing the ultrasound. So once she turned the machine off I had to ask "so the baby is okay?" She laughed and said that all looked good and I am right on schedule for the Oct. 9th date we had talked about before. So at 7:30 on Oct. 9th she will begin my c-section. I have to be there at 5 and then we will begin the process. Cale has been doing really well at the new sitter. He seems like he really enjoys being with Lori and the other kiddos there. He has learned a new trick since he has been influenced by a 2 year old he sees on an everyday basis now. I have videoed this new trick for all to see. He is just so funny to watch. Turning into such a big boy-way too fast though!

A new beginning...

Well school starts tomorrow morning. I am ready to be in a regular routine again. Our first week is over without kiddos. Now the fun really begins tomorrow when all the little faces return. I am starting in a new school...and I am a little nervous. My "gym" that I am to use for P.E. is also the school cafeteria. Yea, fun huh? I am sure those smells will wear me out. I have 5th, 4th, 1st and 3rd grade and I have them in an area that is about half the size of a normal gym. I would like to note I am not complaining just stating facts and wondering how to make it all work. Although the one plus to this is, this is the first year in the history of this school that the p.e. teacher will not have more than one grade level at a time. I do not know how the former coaches have managed that one. I am trying to figure out how to manage what I have to work with. I am sure all will be okay once I get into the swing of things.
Another new beginning will occur on Tuesday. Jeff's mom will no longer be watching Cale and starting on Tuesday he will be going to a baby sitter for the day. 7:30-3:30. I am more than nervous about dropping him off on Tuesday. We went over to the lady's house this past Saturday to acquaint him with the house and the other 2 year old that will be there. At first Cale just clung to me but once the other little boy drug out a small plastic slide I think Cale figured he could like it here. He proceeded to help the boy transfer all his toys to the living area. I am sure they will be fine and I am forever grateful to Lori for taking on this task of watching my little monster...he needs to be with other kiddos and start his official transition into being a little boy. I go to the Dr. for an ultrasound on Friday and I am going every two weeks from now on. October 9th will be here before I know it. Just hope all is going okay in there with baby Lanna. I will update more later in the week.

Good bye summer...hello school year!

Well summer is officially over and we are back at work full time. It was so hard leaving Cale at home with his Nana yesterday. He was a sobbing wreck which made it hard on me. Jeff has been back at football for some time now but I am the one that gets to leave the little one behind everyday and see those tears roll down his cheeks. This morning was much better though. I think he figured out that we were going to come back so he was okay. Just hard after being home with him all summer and spending all our time together that just like that we are back at work. We had family photos taken last Saturday for football and I am interested to see what the little monster will look like. I am at my new school and I am pleased to announce I knew half the teachers there already so it hasn't been nearly has hard as I thought it was going to be. We will see on Monday when the kiddos start what it will really be like. I have posted a pic I took of Cale at home after I got him dressed for family pictures...I hate to admit that my baby is no longer a baby but turning into a little boy...a very cute one I must admit. I go back to the Dr. next week for another ultrasound so I will post after that.

Football time again...

Here is a better video of Cale with his tee.

Well summer is officially over for Jeff. They started football about a week ago so he is back at school full time. Sucks I know. Pregnancy update, I am almost 30 weeks and my blood pressure has been all over the place. Volleyball practice started this morning without me. The head volleyball coach decided it would be unfair to me, her and the freshman girls to start knowing I wouldn't be able to finish the season. Since my c-section date is already Oct. 9th that would still leave over two weeks left in the season so even if my Dr. gave me the okay to do volleyball I wouldn't finish the season so we decided to just pull me out all together and let someone else do it. I have mixed feelings...I hate not being with the girls and coaches and doing something I enjoy but I now get to spend three extra weeks with Cale before school starts. I would much rather be with him anyway. Not to mention it is much better for me and Baby Lanna.
So Cale and I will spend our days trying to entertain each other and I will try to get everything ready for Lanna to arrive. I will have six weeks of school before she gets here so there is plenty to do. I am adding some pics we took of Cale when he was trying out some Denison football gear. It was so funny he couldn't hold his head up because the helmet was so big and heavy.
